Shanghai Boreas Cryogenics Co., Ltd., founded in February 2018, is a National High-tech Enterprise headquartered in Nanxiang Town, one of the four renowned historical and cultural towns in Shanghai. Since its establishment, it has achieved a series of pioneering technological innovations in cryogenics.
 

 
Boreas Cryogenics leads in cryogenic technology through its own intellectual property, offering long-life, low-interference high-frequency pulse tube systems operating from 2 K to ambient temperature, regenerative and recuperative hybrid technologies covering 2 K to sub-Kelvin, and cryogen-free dilution refrigerators with high cooling capacity in mK range. These core capabilities establish the company's technical leadership in cryogenic solutions for scientific research and industrial applications.
 
It focuses on R&D, manufacturing, sales and customized engineering solutions for a series of high-end or specialized Extremely-low Temperature, Ultra-high Cooling Capacity, Ultra-long Operation Life, Extremely-low Vibration, Extremely-low EMI, Ultra-high Cooling Efficiency, and Extremely Micromation.
 
Boreas Cryogenics has three business segments: Applied Superconductivity, Quantum Science and Technology, and Infrared Optoelectronics, providing the associated cryogenic systems. We have made breakthrough progresses in the above fields:
 
In the field of Applied Superconductivity, we developed long-life high-frequency pulse tube cryocoolers with the cooling capacity of over kilowatts by a single unit. It has been applied and verified in high-Tc superconducting projects such as China Southern Power Grid. At present, the cryocooler has been adaptively designed and can effectively work in a wide temperature range of 4.2~80 K. It will provide key support to the development of the controlled nuclear fusion industry.
 
In the field of Quantum Science and Technology, by proposing the innovative technical route of four-stage high-frequency pulse tube coupled by JT cooler, we developed the new-type hybrid cryocooler reaching 1.36 K, which is the lowest temperature ever achieved by similar arrangements in the world. It has been verified in cooling the practical superconducting nanowire single-photon detector, which is one of the core components of the optical quantum computer. And thus, we have the capability of manufacturing and production of associated cryocooling systems required in optical quantum computing, space quantum communication and deep space exploration. 
 
Following above progresses, we further developed the full-technology chain, high cooling capacity cryogen-free mK dilution refrigerator with a no-load temperature of 7 mK and the cooling capacity of more than 1,200 μW at 100 mK, in which the self-developed pre-cooling pulse tube cryocooler with a cooling capacity of more than 2.8 W at 4.2 K is the distinct characteristics. This has made important contributions to the development of superconducting quantum computing and fundamental research of quantum properties.
 
In the field of Infrared Optoelectronics, we developed the single and multi-stage long-life low-interference high-frequency pulse tube cryocoolers, which can effectively cover 2 K to ambient temperature, achieving the ability to fully cover the customized cooling needs of infrared detectors with short, medium, long and very-long wavelengths. At the same time, in response to the emerging demands for extremely-low temperatures and very-long MTBF required by astrophysics and cosmology, we successfully developed the cryocooler models to space-ground dual-use.
 
As a result, Boreas Cryogenics can offer cryogenic systems that can fully meet the cooling needs of Applied Superconductivity, Quantum Science and Technology and Infrared Optoelectronics, with remarkable advantages such as high cooling capacity, extremely-low temperature, long MTBF, low interference, compact and lightweight.
 
Boreas Cryogenics has a dedicated 5,000 m² factory zone, including:
· 3,000 m² main production workshop
· 2,000 m² R&D center and administrative area
 
We have advanced automated production lines with the entire chain for various cryogenic systems.
