The present invention discloses a pulse tube cryocooler using a single compressor to achieve active phase shifting. The cryocooler comprises a drive compressor, aregenerator, a pulse tube, and a phase-shifting transmission device. The drive compressor adopts a dual-opposed-piston arrangement structure and comprises a driving compressor body. Inside the compressor body, a chamber partition divides the compression body into a compression chamber one and a compression chamber two, that are independent of each other. A drive piston is arranged in the compression chamber one, while an active phase-shifting piston is arranged in the compression chamber two. The pressure wave generated by the active phase modulation piston is transmitted through the phase-shifting transmission device to the hot end of the pulse tube, producing a pressure wave that lags behind the mass flow in phase, and interacts with the pressure wavegenerated by the drive piston to achieve phase shifting of the pulse tube cryocooler. The pulse tube cryocooler of this invention uses a single compressor to achieve active phase shifting, which effectively improves the reliability and compactness of the system. The present invention is conducive to the application and popularization of active phase-shifting pulse tubes, and demonstrates significant application prospects.
